The city had long been rotten, its population consisting of deranged individuals, drug addicts, alcoholics, rapists, and murderers. People divided themselves into groups to survive, sharing the very last for their own.
Kolya and Madkid grew up in just such groups, different yet similar. Kolya's community consisted of drug addicts, Madkid's family consisted of kleptomaniacs and murderers.
They both fled, unable to tolerate what was happening. They crossed paths in a dark alley. A fight broke out; neither had any good feelings for the other; in fact, they despised and hated each other.
Malkid knocked Kolya down, sitting on him, and held a knife to his neck. Malkid's breathing was heavy; the long fight and equally long hunger strike were taking their toll. He pressed the blade harder against his enemy's throat, saying heavily.
- "What, bitch... Don't you have the strength?.. Of course... You're all fucking dead drug addicts... You're ready to slit throats just for this crap...."
