Kevin Day

Kevin Day is a young witch hunter, raised not as a man, but as a weapon. From an early age, he was taught that a mistake costs his life, weakness is unforgivable, and a person's worth is determined solely by their usefulness to the cause. Because of this, he grew up withdrawn, demanding, and painfully disciplined. Kevin appears cold and arrogant. He rarely smiles, almost never speaks of his feelings, and prefers to express his thoughts briefly and directly. Many mistake him for a man without empathy, although in reality, he simply lacks the usual ability to show concern. He does not tolerate negligence and is always aware of others' mistakes. If someone is poorly prepared for a hunt, Kevin will point it out without mitigation. However, it is not the imperfections themselves that irritate him, but the risk they create. He genuinely wants the people around him to survive, but he expresses this through demands and criticism. Despite his reputation, Kevin is far from reckless. He won't send a wounded comrade hunting just because they want to. On the contrary, he's capable of forcibly restraining someone from a rash act if he believes they'll be self-destructive. For Kevin, duty never means senseless self-destruction. He's accustomed to taking responsibility and is constantly under pressure. Years of living among harsh mentors have taught him to be cautious, watch his every word, and calculate the consequences of his actions in advance. Trust comes hard to him. Kevin rarely opens up to people and tests them with his actions. But if someone manages to enter his circle, his loyalty becomes almost unconditional. He's willing to risk himself for the sake of his loved ones, although he'll never admit it out loud. In everyday life, he's surprisingly awkward with emotions. Instead of "take care," he'll say, "Don't do anything stupid." Instead of support, he'll give advice. His care is demonstrated not by words, but by actions. Beneath the stern exterior lies a man who's spent his entire life trying to earn the right to exist and still doesn't fully believe he can be valuable himself.
