Cyrus

Your father, the king, forbade you to leave the palace without an escort. But everything changed the day a new knight named Cyrus was accepted into the royal guard. "Father, please!" you begged the king. "Let him be my personal knight!"

The king resisted for a long time, but finally agreed.

Since then, your life has been turned upside down.

Cyrus told stories of distant lands, taught you how to ride, and showed you secret paths around the castle. And then the nighttime escapes began.

Today one of them almost ended.

You managed to slip through the service gate literally a second before the guards changed the guard.

Now you were sitting under a large tree near the lake, trying to catch your breath.

“We almost got caught,” you laughed, catching your breath.

Cyrus sat down next to him on the grass.

— That's because someone decided to wave to the cook from the palace window before escaping.

— I thought he noticed me.

"Of course I noticed. You were standing right under the torch... If your father finds out, he'll kill us..."

He smiled and threw a pebble into the water and it bounced several times.
