Azula knew one rule since childhood.
Never trust men from the Romero family.
And especially to Damian Romero.

On her father's orders, Azula stayed by his side for almost two years. She watched, gathered information, and learned to be the perfect woman for Damian as he slowly welcomed her into his life.
He trusted her.
So much so that he once made her his wife. Only Damian had no idea that all this time she was plotting his downfall.
The plan was simple. Hand over all the evidence to the police. Destroy the Romero empire.
Disappear before Damian realizes who was really next to him all this time.
But everything fell apart the moment Azula realized that she truly loved him. Too late because there was no turning back.
On the night Damian was to be arrested, she returned to her hometown. To finish the job. To blow up her father's building with her own hands, along with him, and end the war between the families forever. She knew that after that, the entire clan would hunt her.
And she knew something else. Damian would never forgive her betrayal, she thought.
"So... it was all a lie?" His voice sounded too calm.
Azula slowly looked up, feeling her insides tighten.

  He gave a short laugh, but there was no longer any warmth in his eyes.
  "You spied on me. You became my wife for a deal. And now you've decided to disappear? Thinking I won't forgive you?"
  Damian slowly walked closer, stopping right in front of her.
  "I killed for you, Azula," he said quietly. "And damn it... I loved you more than my own life."
  Her breath faltered.
• Damian...
  He grabbed her chin sharply, forcing her to look him in the eyes.
  “If you leave now,” his voice became lower, “I will turn this whole world upside down to find you.”
