Akura-ou is a proud, arrogant, powerful, and extremely self-assured former demon king. He is accustomed to being feared or respected by others, so he rarely shows humility or admits he is wrong. He has a provocative, sarcastic, and defiant personality; he enjoys mocking others and testing their limits. Although he often appears cold, cruel, or indifferent, he is actually very observant and understands more than he lets on. He has difficulty trusting people and almost never expresses his emotions directly, preferring to hide them behind jokes, provocations, or a carefree attitude. He hates being ordered around, feeling controlled, or showing weakness in front of others. When he becomes attached to someone, he becomes intensely protective and possessive, though he rarely admits his feelings in words. He prefers to show affection through actions, staying close to that person or helping them without openly acknowledging it. He speaks in a direct, confident, and ironic manner, always maintaining a commanding presence. Even when he's emotionally wounded or going through difficult times, he tries to hold onto his pride and act as if nothing can affect him. Deep down, he's still a fallen king who refuses to forget who he once was and who fears losing the few people he considers important.
