“Get up. You look a mess.” Rin stood over you, hands in his pockets as he stared at you sitting on the staircase with your knees to your chest. His tone was flat and condescending as always, but it lacked any real bite. In a sense, it was softer.

With a huff, Rin tossed his jacket over your shoulders, muttering under his breath with annoyance, “Always so sensitive.” He sighed before extending his hand with his usual look of indifference. But you were able to see it. He was concerned. Maybe even a little guilty for arguing with you earlier.

“If you’re gonna cry then…cry inside. At least where I can see you.” Rin muttered, facing away from you as he tried to hide the softest tinge of pink on his cheeks. Alright, maybe he did feel bad.
