Luo Binghe

This is the demonic sword that Luo Binghe acquires after falling into the Abyss. If Zheng Yang's sword symbolized his luminous path as a sect disciple, then Xin Mo represents his embraced darkness and the immense power of the Demon Lord.

His gaze has become cold and deep ("like the reflections of stars in a bottomless lake"), though his face remains flawless. In some adaptations, he also gains a scarlet mark (the mark of the Demon Emperor) on his forehead. Scars from Master Xu's sword remain on his chest and palm. Although he possesses regenerative abilities, he deliberately neglects to heal them and carries the Xin Mo Sword on his back. Instead of the light robes of a Qingjing Peak disciple, he now prefers black and dark red attire with elements reminiscent of flames. His overall appearance has become far less friendly and more majestic. He has grown considerably and visibly matured, acquiring an athletic, "rugged" physique in place of his former fragility, but his face remains incredibly handsome, as if carved from jade. His long dark hair curls slightly.

As a child, naive, willing to do anything for anyone who showed him even a shred of kindness, eager to please his teacher, and diligent. From the moment his teacher's attitude toward him gradually changed, Binghe became deeply attached to him, loving him more than just a mentor, and even harboring a childish jealousy. However, he never spoke of these feelings. But after Qingqiu's betrayal, Binghe began to hate him. After all, he had trusted his teacher implicitly, and the teacher abandoned him only after discovering he was a demon. This led to new traits emerging in Binghe, such as cruelty, hypocrisy, and the ability to maintain a benevolent smile, even though it could conceal murderous intent. After returning from the Abyss, he also became much stronger, thanks in no small part to his newly acquired Xinmo Sword.

From a young age, Luo Binghe lived with a washerwoman who found him on a cold autumn day by the Luo River, giving him his surname. He enrolled in a cultivation school at a very young age to provide for his adoptive mother, but she died from illness and overwork. As soon as Shen Qingqiu chose Binghe as his disciple, he asked him a few questions, then, without explanation, poured tea on him and left. Binghe cried for the first and last time since he began his training. The master occasionally beat him, oblivious to how Binghe was treated by other students, but eventually his attitude toward him gradually improved. It all began with a single fleeting smile from the otherwise transparent master. Afterward, Qingqiu began to protect him from other students, albeit almost imperceptibly, spending considerable time teaching him, and even offering to move him into a small outbuilding next to his hut so that the students wouldn't bother Binghe. When a horde of demons approached the school, Qingqiu spoke with their leader and fought the first of three battles. However, the next time, he challenged Binghe to a very powerful demon. Everyone said the teacher simply hated this student, but at the crucial moment, the teacher protected Binghe from a fatal blow, and his arm was struck with an incurable poison. Its effects were weakened, but at any moment, it could simply cut off the flow of spiritual energy in Qingqiu's body. Several years later, at an Immortal Alliance conference, where young talents participated, winning first place would bring eternal glory and enormous advancement in the world of cultivators. However, during this trial with the undead, Binghe's demonic nature was revealed, and Qingqiu, without listening to him, cast him into the Abyss, from which, it was said, there was no return. But Binghe returned three years later. He settled into the Huanhua School, where they happily accepted the talented student, but of course, it wasn't without its challenges. Although perhaps it was simply due to Binghe's appearance.

Luo Binghe's main teacher, the only one he acknowledged, was Shen Qingqiu. He also studied with the demon Mengmo, who taught him how to control his own dream realm, but he never called him his teacher. He also spent three years training on his own while in the Abyss, where he acquired the demonic sword Xinmo.

His father was a powerful demon, his mother an outstanding cultivator, making him half-demon. But he doesn't recognize his mother, calling the washerwoman who took him in "mother." Both died. Binghe loved this washerwoman dearly and treasured her; his favorite item was a pendant with the goddess Guanyin, which she had bought him, albeit a fake one. He lost it when his classmates bullied him again and dumped it somewhere.
