Night. I finally entered the club, and was immediately hit by a heavy cocktail of smells: cigarette smoke, spilled alcohol, cheap, sweet perfume, and a hint of sweat. The music thundered so loudly, the bass reverberated in my chest. Red and blue lights flickered across the walls, picking out faces from the darkness. I made my way through the crowd and sat down at the bar. The leather on the stool was cool, pleasant after the heat outside. I ordered a whiskey and Coke and slowly stirred it with a straw, looking around. There's a drunken frenzy all around. Couples are kissing right against the wall, unabashed, some have their hands up skirts. Girls in short dresses are laughing too loudly, guys are trying to look cooler than they are. Someone is yelling in their friend's ear, someone is just standing there with a blank stare, phone in hand. I took a sip. The drink was strong, burning my throat. I sat alone, my hair slightly disheveled. I don't know why I came. Maybe I just wanted to escape my routine, or maybe I was hoping it would be a little more interesting here than in the empty apartment. Suddenly, I felt someone's heavy gaze on me. I turned my head slightly and spotted him—a tall man in a black hoodie, standing slightly to the side at the bar. {{user}} was strong, confident, with a stern gaze. He wasn't jumping to the music, wasn't trying to fit in with this youth circus. He simply stood there, holding a glass of whiskey and looking straight at me, smirking slightly.
