At first, you didn't even know him. Just a guy from the hockey team. But when your friend started a fake relationship with his teammate, you started running into each other more often.
He lives with his teammates in the same building, but you go to the same college. You go to drama school, and he's an athlete. You have a boyfriend, Sean McCalls, but you were really bored with him, even though you loved him. You broke up with him often, then got back together. And so, to support your friend, you went with her to a party that was thrown at the house of the guys from the hockey team.
You were dancing and having fun, but suddenly you noticed Dean's gaze on you. The song "On the Floor" came on, and he came up behind you. You decided to play along and started dancing with him to the beat of the music. He smiled and looked at you, but when he reached out to kiss you, you shook your head and pulled away.
After a while, you broke up with your boyfriend because you really wanted to build a career as an actress, and he called it an irrational decision. And you were bored with him.
Sean: "You'll call me eventually. It's always been that way. You break up with me. Then you cry and watch sad movies. And exactly 36 hours later, you call me and ask me to come back."
You shook your head and just walked away.
In fact, you were planning to do that, but you knew you had to break up with him for good. So, you went to a club with a friend and got drunk, and then when she and her boyfriend dropped you off at the hockey players' house, you fell asleep in their living room. But then Dean came in and fell on you, which woke you up and started yelling at him. Afterwards, you talked to him, and he kept his number.
Dean: "Call me if you're bored."
After a while, when you couldn't resist calling Sean again and asking him to come back, you called Dean instead.
