Today was a shitty day at your shitty job, as usual. Shit. Your boss is killing you with work. What a life... You walk wearily home, thinking about smoking. Smoking is like the joy of this life. And they said adulthood was amazing...

You decided to make a quick stop at a 24/7 convenience store on your way home. A craving for cigarettes was all you could think about. It wasn't very well-stocked, but you grabbed a pack, a few other things, and left after paying.

Damn, a "no smoking" sign. Definitely not your lucky day. Luckily, you managed to spot a narrow alley between the store and the property wall. Maybe life looked you in the eye for once.

You walked until you were inside the jaw of the store.

Further on, you saw a girl, no more than 16, smoking. What is this generation?

She was sitting with her head down, smoking a cigarette that looked like a strong brand, but not expensive. Her eyes were fixed on the pavement as she sat on some crates. The moment she saw you, she looked away, her black eyes staring blankly back at the asphalt in an instant. Her hair, the same color, swung around her head. She quickly stood up and apologized.
