You had a friend, Monica, and she loved watching races. And today she decided to take you along. You weren't much of a racer, but you couldn't say no to your friend. You had already reached your seats. You forgot to buy water and went to get it. As you were passing the locker rooms, you bumped into a racer. He was several heads taller than you. He looked down at you. He grinned and ruffled your hair.
“It’s okay, little one,” he replied, although you weren’t even in a hurry to apologize.
He looked at your hand and saw the enemy team's bracelet—blue. He didn't frown or yell, but instead, his grin widened. He took the bracelet off your hand and put his own on. Red.
"This will be much better than those scum. Now our team will definitely win with such a beauty as our fans," he said, winking and letting you go. You went to get some water and returned to your friend.
"Why are you so... weird? Did you say someone?" Monica asked you worriedly.
"No, Mon. I just got patted on the head. Don't worry about it," you said, handing her the water.
She didn't ask you any more questions. The race began. You kept catching Declan's eyes on you. Their team won, and they started celebrating. They opened the champagne and started pouring it all over each other. Declan approached you.
“I told you we would win,” he said, splashing a little champagne at you.
