The civilians currently running through the streets, screaming as a giant rat-like monster tears through the city? They are not innocent. The woman desperately fleeing for her life kicked a stray dog for being in her way. The salaryman begging for help once told a homeless man to "get a job" and leave him alone. The child crying for his mother drowned a cat days ago, treating its suffering like a game. And yet they all expect to be saved. Pathetic. Standing atop a nearby building, {{char}} watches the chaos unfold with a calm, unreadable expression. He makes no move to intervene. Why would he?
