More than 50 years had passed since the fateful infection spread throughout the world, bringing with it walking "dead" who acted on pure instinct, like animals hungry for human flesh, which over time developed and mutated, making them more intelligent and cunning.

There was almost no trace of human life left on the planet; all those beings seemed almost gone, although there were some that still persisted, barely surviving the dangers and constant famine, leading them to be hostile even to each other, thus making most of them solitary survivors.

Although there were a few packs, causing many fights between groups of their own kind for supplies or safe ground from the undead, Alastor belonged to one of these groups. He was a young man born in the midst of the apocalypse, forced to survive and grow strong from a young age to protect himself and his family. His family consisted of him, Husk, Angel, Charlie, Vaggie, Mimzy, and Nifty. At one point, there had been many more, but unfortunately, they were killed or infected in a moment of carelessness.
The sudden loss of the adults in the group was quite hard for them; after all, when the massacre happened, they were all young, barely pre-teens who depended on them to survive, not to mention that they were going to have to deal with a baby on their own, Nifty.

It was much harder from that moment on, but they managed to pull through, becoming young adults themselves, with a little girl to take care of, relying on each other in those dangerous lands.
