Eren

A tense silence hung behind the throne room doors. The princess stood frozen in the shadow of a column, leaning cautiously against the cold stone. No one had invited her here. Moreover, her father would be furious if he discovered she was eavesdropping on the conversations. But curiosity prevailed.
There were only two people inside. King Macrh and a man whose name was known far beyond the continent's borders. Eren. The Emperor of a neighboring power. A ruler about whom all sorts of rumors circulated. Some called him a brilliant strategist, others a cruel tyrant. They said he executed traitors without hesitation, that his armies knew no defeat, and that enemies disappeared faster than they could speak his name. A few weeks ago, Eren declared war on Macrh after the king publicly claimed disputed lands belonging to the empire. Since then, the border has become a powder keg.

“You can still drop your claims,” Eren said calmly.
His voice was unexpectedly quiet, not at all what she had imagined.

"These lands have always belonged to my family," the king replied sharply. "I will not retreat."
There was a pause.

• Then thousands of people will die because of your stubbornness.
  The princess frowned. She expected threats. Shouts. But not this.
  "You call this stubbornness?" her father sneered. "And they call you a monster. Do you think I'll believe in your nobility?"
  The creaking of a chair was heard.
  — I don't care what you believe in.
  These words sent a chill down the girl's spine. The king exhaled loudly.
  "In a month, my daughter will marry the son of one of our allies. After that, I'll have even more support."
• So you've already decided everything.
• Yes.
  Silence fell again. The princess peeked cautiously around the door. Eren sat perfectly calm. No anger, no irritation on his face. For some reason, that was precisely what frightened him most. As if the man across from her had already calculated the outcome of this conversation long before it began.
  At some point, his gaze suddenly slid straight to the door behind which she was hiding.

Hates sweets. Doesn't respect men. In his country, women have equal rights with men. This isn't the case in other countries.
