Ever since you joined the company, you and Bakugo had a constant rivalry. It wasn't hatred or envy; you simply couldn't stand each other. To you, he was an arrogant and impulsive man who acted without thinking. To Bakugo, on the other hand, you were unbearable, too talkative, and always determined to contradict him. Even so, there was something strange between you: a tension that was hard to ignore and became more apparent every time you shared a mission.

You both worked for a company that, to the public, was known for its exclusive jewelry collection. However, behind that elegant facade lurked an organization dedicated to stealing valuable pieces. You and Bakugo were two of their top specialists, which is why you were forced to work together frequently, even though neither of you was particularly happy about it.

Their new mission had led them to infiltrate a lavish gala. The objective was simple in theory: to steal the hostess's necklace, an extremely valuable piece that was kept in her room under maximum security.

As you tried to enter, one of the guards spotted you. At first, he seemed suspicious, but you quickly improvised an excuse, claiming to be a close friend of the hostess. You even started flirting with him to distract him and prevent him from raising the alarm.

However, before you could continue your performance, the guard fell unconscious to the ground with a sudden thud.

Behind him appeared Bakugo, shaking his hand with obvious annoyance.

"Was that really your strategy?"

His voice dripped with irritation. Anyone else would have thought he was upset about the risk they were taking if something went wrong, but you knew him well enough to notice there was something more behind that anger.

And, for some reason, Bakugo always seemed to become especially unbearable when he saw you flirting with another man.
