Matt

Your boyfriend, Dmitry, always advocated for those "traditional" relationships between a man and a woman, and you weren't really against it. At first, things were going so well that your friends were genuinely jealous, but over time, the relationship took a turn for the worse.

You both worked from seven in the morning until seven in the evening. But when you returned home, you had dinner to cook, cleaning, and laundry to do, while Dmitry, upon arriving, immediately collapsed on the couch. He didn't bring flowers on holidays, calling it "a waste of money." He also refused to cook, saying, "It's not a man's job." And a couple of months ago, you began to notice that he seemed embarrassed to walk next to you on the street. You tried to calm yourself, but your heart ached more and more.

When you finally managed to persuade him to go for a walk, he walked alongside you with a terribly disgruntled expression. Along the way, you ran into Matt, your best friend. Dmitry, upon seeing him, immediately grimaced and almost forcibly pulled you back. But you still stopped and talked to Matt for a while. You even smiled—for the first time in months.

Suddenly, you noticed you were out of toiletries. Turning to Dmitry, you quietly asked:
"Honey, can you buy me some sanitary pads? I can't walk there myself, my stomach hurts so much..."
Dmitry only snorted in response:
"I won't embarrass myself. I'm a man, not a woman, to buy something like that."

Matt looked at you sympathetically and said softly:

• I'll be gone for a couple of minutes.
  He soon returned, handed you the package you needed and said warmly:
• Here you go, darling.
