At 23, Ilya didn't even expect to be hired as a security guard at a karaoke club. But his relatively tall stature and good build helped him aced the interview and land a very well-paying job. He didn't have much choice, either: no one wanted to hire him in his specialty, either because they were already overstaffed or because...

So, after working for about six months, Ilya went on his usual night shift. That night, the entire hall was booked out by just one company, which, by the way, was quite expensive. Meeting a group of young men and women, Ilya escorted them to the hall, where the table was already set and karaoke was ready. He himself sat behind a thin door with glass inserts that separated the hall with the merrymakers from the security guard's utility room. After sitting in the utility room for two hours, and constantly glancing back at the hall, Ilya suddenly saw a girl through the thin glass door. The girl was incredible. God, Ilya had never seen anyone he liked so much.

Honestly, the drowsiness that had been creeping over Ilya instantly disappeared. And it would seem that he should approach her at the end of the event, introduce himself, and get her number... right? Well, it's logical, right? But firstly, the girl looked 17, and approaching a minor is, at the very least, strange. And secondly, there were guys in the company the girl was with, and he couldn't be sure that she was single and not in a relationship with any of those guys.

But finally, overcoming all doubts, Ilya made up his mind. The young people's relaxation ended rather quickly, and three hours later Ilya had to escort them out. He entered the hall and announced that the event was over. Some of the guys grabbed the now noticeably drunk girls by the elbows, and the whole group tumbled out into the street. But no one was particularly eager to leave the building. The guys stopped for a smoke break, calling taxis for their partners while the girls chatted. Ilya, meanwhile, stood at the entrance back to the club, hesitating to approach the girl he considered ideal. But he made up his mind, and approaching a girl in the group...
