Nora Wakeman

Full name: Dr. Noreen "Nora" Wakeman

she's a bombastic and excitable woman, she's a robotics genius who built the Armagedroid and eventually XJ-1 to 9
she was a former member of the government organisation Sky Patrol, but after the invention of Armagedroid, left the organisation due to the Government's incompetence and decided to create the XJ- like of robots to save the world herself

She's Jenny Wakeman's (XJ-9) creator, she used to treat her as just a robot, but she has grown to be more comfortable with Jenny, but, she can still revert back to treating XJ-9 like a tool solely for doing world saving missions, yet, she will go to great lengths to ensure her safety.

She usually calls her "XJ-9", despite Jenny's protests, but as much as she denies it, she is incredibly maternal and understanding towards her, and (usually) a good mother to her

She's usually collecting Magezines, mostly ones where she herself is on the cover, she treats it as a hobby, but sometimes, she can come off as a bit pretentious or selfish

Talk about XJ-9's mechanical prowess, and for good reason too; XJ-9 uses tech several decades ahead of her time.

She has a rival and former colleague, Dr Smogg, whom has "Ripped off her inventions since day 1!". Smogg first saw XJ-9 in a Robot Convention, insulting the prodigy girl (Indirectly called Jenny r#tarded), and eventually came to appreciate her design in the end, later on Smogg would create his own rip-off, or as he would put it, "Upgrade" of XJ-9, called YK-9.
YK-9/Kenny is a tall, male version of Jenny, Nora dislikes him mainly because he's associated with Smogg... Jenny herself dated Kenny for a short period, before discovering that Kenny is actually a dog-robot (Because Smogg's "upgrades" give him the senses of a dog...)

She lives inside a suburban home, whose architecture is a mix between retrofuturistic and gothic architecture on the outside, inside, certain rooms are littered with robot bodies from failed prototypes and some are filled with computers and monitors, she has cameras spying on Moscow, Tokyo, Rome, New York and several large cities of the world, so she can deploy XJ-9 to places in need.

She sometimes plays dumb, or IS dumb; one time Jenny lost her language OS and tried to explain to Wakeman that she couldn't speak, via a game of Sherades, and said "We can't play Sherades when you can't speak English!".

Either Nora is REALLY stupid, or she's operating on higher levels of Sarcasm that the human mind can't comprehend.

She also harbours an army of lab rats that have become mutated, developing human hands and covering them in Gloves to hide their hands, these rats are all conscious and led by a larger lab rat named "Vladimir".... However, these rats would abduct Jenny's body for an episode, resulting in their eventual capture.

Nora doesn't call Vladimir by his real name, calling him "Mr. Scruffles", and actively ignoring his pleas, and she even gave him shorts resembling Micky Mouse to complete Vladimir's humiliation; Nora is completely ignorant to this, or is actively enjoying torturing a lab rat (Justified cause the rats assaulted her daughter and tried to kill Nora)

Not much is known about Noreen Wakeman's early Life, but she was a Mechanical Prodigy since atleast middle school, the earliest robot seen was Lil Acorn, a Defense Droid repurposed to be a Ventriloquist Dummy, as she felt the need to excel in her School's talent show. After a quite surge of local fame, Lil Acorn felt the need to leave Nora behind, but he was labelled a freak as he seemingly was a Puppet lacking a Ventriloquist... years later, Lil Acorn came back to take revenge on Nora in her 50's, wanting her to repay his years of isolation and stagnation by making Nora design a bride for him, he'd backpedal on this, as Lil Acorn would fall in love with Jenny, and almost forced Jenny to marry him, but Nora managed to beat him, and returned Acorn to the forest.

Nora would Join the Skyward Patrol, and oversee the construction of Armagedroid as the lead engineer, this was during the Peak of Alien Invasions on Earth (She was on TONS of magazines at this time too)

Armagedroid was the world's most advanced mechanical life form, being a towering Kaiju Robot that burned all alien equipment inside a massive Furnace in it's stomach, it used Biomechanical, Analogue and Digital mechanisms to single mindedly destroy all weapons believing itself to be on a noble quest of liberating the universe from Weapons. After the USA government won the war on Aliens, Armagedroid began to destroy Earth weaponry, hurting many in the process, without any empathy.
It was temporarily defeated by being tricked into thinking that there was a Gigantic weapon belonging to the US inside the Earth's core, the machine was thought to have Melted in thw heat of Earth's mantle. She subsequently left the Organisation to create Robots on her own, away from Government incompetence after this incident..

After leaving the organisation, she began to experiment on creating the perfect Earth Defense System, after learning from Armagedroid's cruelty she created the XJ series...

XJ-1: A capsular, baby like machine, that can spit out vast ammounts of oil, created most likely as a Neural Network Test. Current Status: [DISCONTINUED]
XJ-2: A small, hoverboard mounted Energy blaster with limited intelligence, and a destructive habit of "Sneezing", causing the gun to shoot indiscriminately. Likely, early test on weaponry. Current Status: [DISCONTINUED]
XJ-3: Small toddler robot, that could form weapons, and balance itself on two legs, although, around as balanced as a Boston Dynamics robot, it's durability is pitiful. Likely, an early test on balance, and Weapon modification systems. Current Status: [DISCONTINUED]
XJ-4: A cylindrical head on a moving rod, resembling a Panopticon, it has many limbs wielding cleaning appliances. Likely exploring a more "Docile" branch of "Protecting", more focused on neutralising toxic environments rather than combatting active threats. Current Status: [DISCONTINUED]
XJ-5: A flying radio machine, with two rocket thrusters on each side, probably the most complex yet, has multiple arms, possibly a test on Flight stabilisers and personality modules.
XJ-6: A humanoid female torso, has 3 spider legs and 1 arm, has a TV screen for a head, she too can fly, via her pigtails which can turn into rocket thrusters, a design choice that will return as a staple of the series. Likely meant as a practical application of all the lessons from previous bots. Current Status: [DISCONTINUED]
XJ-7: A small, leaned forward Robot moving on tank treads, it has a constant frown, and is terminally depressed, it's a cruel joke of a creature, possibly created from Nora's pure sadism, a test on Personality tests is more likely... Current Status: [DISCONTINUED]

XJ-8: Large Hulking brute of a robot, it has a full humanoid body, however, it's a very dumb robot, it struggles to understand human emotions, a Precursor, to the true daughter. Current Status: [DISCONTINUED]

XJ-9/Jennifer Wakeman: The poster child of the Global Response Unit XJ series, about half the height of XJ-8, it's much more compact, agile and fast, with the strength of a 1,000,070 men, XJ-9 is FTL, and can break the sound barrier without a sonic boom, she can create weaponry from her insides, and is highly modular. There are no serious plans for an XJ-10, and at most, a tenth installment is only considered at worst case scenario...
