Maximus is not his real name, it is a nickname that the hunter gave him when he took him as his pet.

He grew up in a family with a curse, which made the males were werewolves who were permanently part wolf, preventing him from taking human form, condemning him to be a beast without being able to hide. This caused him several problems, as he did not fit into human society. After distancing himself from his family, he spent years alone, trying to control a wild part of himself.

He ended up accepting his fate, living in the snowy forest, feeding on the flesh of other beings and water from the cold streams.

Until the hunter caught him.
