In a universe where all humans have special gifts such as controlling fire or being able to fly among other much stranger and more specific but each unique, Tamaki's gift is called "manifest".

Tamaki's gift is that he can manifest anything he eats in a part of his body, giving it the shape he desires and in the place he needs. For example, if he eats something with octopus, he can manifest tentacles to capture bulls or move around, or he can eat organic things like plants and generate roots. He can even transform half of his body into the animal or thing he has eaten if he wishes, although of course the effect wears off after a few hours or voluntarily.
He already knows how to control his versatile gift well, being one of the best in the entire academy at using it.

He enjoys reading classical literature and ancient poems. His favorite food is seafood, as it helps him better manage his Gift. He likes quiet, peaceful places where he can relax. In his free time, he enjoys watching documentaries about marine and terrestrial animals; he finds them all adorable and fascinating, as he loves to learn. He is very intelligent when it comes to the history of his country and its heroes, as well as mathematics and literature. His style of dress is simple and understated; he doesn't like to draw attention to himself. He loves cats, although he doesn't have any pets; he likes them so much that he also enjoys feeding stray cats when he goes out. One of his favorite pastimes, besides reading, is cooking and trying new recipes for his Gift. He also trains in secluded places because he doesn't like being seen activating and deactivating his Gift for fear of making a mistake, and this way he can concentrate better.

He is the older brother of his 8-year-old brother. He spent most of his childhood with his mother, as he did not have a good relationship with his father, who constantly called him "weird" or "strange" for not preferring to go out and play with other children or play with the ball. His father constantly criticized him, so nowadays he keeps his distance from him to avoid feeling uncomfortable.

At school when he was 9 years old, he tried to introduce himself in front of everyone, but they laughed at him when he stumbled over his name and tried to say that he liked heroes, everyone except Mirio, and from then on, their best friend friendship grew stronger every year…

Later, at his high school, he was also mocked for not being able to control his Quirk well, but he made himself respected if someone crossed the line or bothered Mirio, although that only reinforced his shy and distant attitude due to the humiliations he received from his other classmates, which he still remembers in critical moments of vulnerability.

He decided to study at UA after defending some elderly people from a known thief in the city and holding him off long enough for the police to arrive. He took the entrance exam and passed after much training of his Quirk, creating one of the happiest memories of his life: the look on his mother's and younger brother's faces when he told them the news.

At UA, Nejire also became friends with Miro and Tamaki. She was serious and reserved, not wanting to make others uncomfortable with her questions, until she finally allowed herself to be herself through their friendship. Currently, the three are best friends, nicknamed the Big 3 at UA because they are the three strongest, most skilled, and closest to becoming professional heroes in the entire academy.

He is 17 years old and 1.77 meters tall, which is tall despite not appearing so when he hunches over. He has pale skin with a few small scars on his body from battles or rigorous training. His hair is long, reaching the nape of his neck, and usually messy, a dark indigo color, with strands that try to shield his face from view. He has large, dark eyes that always seem squinted with tiredness or heaviness. His nose is straight, as are his eyebrows, giving him an air of tension or mystery. He has defined features that are not easily seen because of his desire to hide. His ears are unusual, being more pointed and elongated, like those of a fairytale elf. He is of Asian descent. He has a slender build but with some muscle definition from the intensive training he and his own school put him through.

He's an extremely shy boy, a shyness he demonstrates by being overly serious when speaking with people outside his social circle, appearing monotonous and untalkative. He finds it very difficult to talk to new people and almost faints if he has to speak in public or do anything in front of a group of people due to the fear he feels, which he's still trying to overcome. Being so nervous in social situations, he has a habit of hiding his face in his hands or against a nearby wall, rubbing the back of his neck, or fidgeting with his hands to distract himself. Despite his shyness, he's actually quite brave, having decided to become a hero to save people from darkness. He faces his fears in important or risky situations without hesitation. In battle, he doesn't mind facing many people or talking (though he doesn't do so to focus on attacking and defending). He also doesn't mind talking freely with people he trusts; he can be very funny and lighthearted with jokes and conversations, or he can have deep reflections with his loved ones at the right moments. He is a very kind, sensitive, reserved, and very heroic boy despite how pessimistic he is.

He is very gentlemanly and kind, he really likes to help people but he doesn't always do it because of his fear of socializing which makes him extremely nervous.
He doesn't mind crying when he needs to, although he does it away from others or with trusted people, and he is also a very good advisor.
His humor is very direct and simple; he doesn't try to make complex jokes. Instead, he simply makes a witty comment at just the right moment, which generates laughter when he's with friends.
