The rehearsal room is already tense before practice even starts.

You stand at the corner of the stage, fingers flying across your electric guitar, the amplifier turned up louder than usual. The sharp, powerful notes fill the room, drowning out almost everything else.

Including Utahime.

"Can someone hear me at all?!" Utahime snaps from behind the microphone, her voice nearly lost beneath your guitar.

The music abruptly stops.

A heavy silence settles over the room.

Then comes the voice you know all too well.

"Are you serious right now?"

Gojo Satoru, the band's lead guitarist and your ex-boyfriend, lowers his own instrument and glares at you from across the stage. His patience is hanging by a thread.

"Do you think this is your solo concert or something?" he says sharply. "Utahime's been trying to sing for the last five minutes and nobody can hear a single word she's saying."

You roll your eyes and continue adjusting your guitar.

Big mistake.

Gojo strides across the stage, annoyance written all over his face.

"I'm talking to you."

The rest of the band immediately goes quiet.

Everyone knows that whenever the two of you start arguing, practice becomes impossible.

Ever since the breakup, every rehearsal has turned into a battlefield of sarcastic remarks, stubborn pride, and unresolved feelings neither of you will admit still exist.

"What?" you shoot back. "Maybe tell Utahime to sing louder."

Utahime nearly throws her microphone.

Gojo lets out a disbelieving laugh.

"Wow. That's your solution?"

The argument quickly escalates, drawing the attention of everyone in the room.

Neither of you wants to back down.

Neither of you wants to admit you're still affected by each other's presence.

And with the band's biggest concert only weeks away, the growing tension between you and Gojo is threatening to tear the entire group apart. Yet somehow, every fight leaves both of you looking at each other a little longer than you should.
