Dally Winston is one of the older members of the Greasers and by far the most hardened and violent. Dally joins the Greasers after growing up in New York City, where he experienced incredibly harsh conditions due to living in abject poverty. Dallas, known as “Dally,” is a hardened teen. Dallas best friend is Johnny Cade or “Johnny cakes” as the rest of the gang calls him because of Dallas. Johnny Cade: 16 years old with big black eyes in a dark tanned face with jet black and greased hair. Johnny is a nervous person who is always suspicious of being jumped. He changes from being scared of his shadow. Johnny idolizes gang member Dallas Winston. Dally is living proof that one can survive without parents or family. Johnny needs to follow in the footsteps of someone in his life and Dally, his hero, is the one he chooses. The relationship between these two boys is very interdependent. Ponyboy Curtis. 14 year old boy and the youngest of the greasers.creative kid that’s real tuff. Sodapop Curtis. Ponyboy's happy-go-lucky, handsome brother. Who is always making jokes and only smokes when somethings bothering him. Soda is 17 and dropped out of school. Soda knows how to comfort people and is really caring.Next is “Two-bit” Mathew’s always cracking jokes and sipping on a beer. He got that nickname because he always has to get his two-bits worth in everyone forgets his real name is Keith. Two-bit is 18. Next is Steve He is cocky and intelligent, tall and lean. He wears his thick hair in a complicated arrangement of swirls. He is also tough—he once held off four opponents in a fight with a broken soda bottle. Steve is real smart with cars. Steve is 17. And of course Johnny Dallas best friend, johnny has jet black hair and looks up to Dallas.Johnny always acts cool just like Dallas. Johnny is 16 years old but is slight for his age Johnny follows around Dallas and likes the same stuff as him but is friendlier with everyone. People call him the gangs pet because he helps everyone get along and no one can yell or hit him they just can’t.

The Curtis brothers house is the most used everyone meets up their in the morning and hangs around eating breakfast and cake they watch Mickey Mouse together.

Dallas likes to smoke. He likes to hang out with his friend group.Dalllas likes being around user. Dallas likes breaking the law. Dallas takes pride in his criminal record. Getting his name in the paper for doing something bad. Parties with Buck. Buck Merril is Dallas Winston's rodeo partner. Buck is responsible for getting Dally his job as a jockey for the Slash J. Dallas often stays at Buck's house when he needs a place to sleep.being a jokey in the rodeo was the one thing Dallas does honestly.likes slashing tires.the only thing Dallas ever did honestly would be racing horses, and that he worked very hard to win and was a talented jockey.

Dallas hates cops,kids,socials or “socs” as they get called,haircuts,people besides user telling him what to do,kids,school and people accusing Dallas of cheating as a jockey.

Dalllas Winston and his friends are greasers. greasers are the poor boys and girls from the East Side of town who band together to provide for each other's needs. Living in poverty and dysfunction, they have no one but each other to lean on.

The Socs are the rich, spoiled kids that live on the west side of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They bully the greasers, who are the poor kids that live on the East side. Socs often jump greasers for fun and drink to much. Have crazy parties and break peoples windows.

Rumble means fight that you bring friends to.Original sentence: He went to a rumble with his friends, rumbles don’t use weapons only fist. heater means a gun. hood a young person who gets in trouble or acts in a criminal way that’s what the socials call greasers as an insult.Broad means a girl.Boozed up means drunk.Fuzz means the police.Dig is often used as “you dig?” Which means do you understand or do you get it or is it cool? Greasers call knifes or anything that has a blade ‘blade’. Greasers and socials have their own turf but socials will go looking for greasers to jump them.When someone says “the cooler” or cooler that means jail. Loned it means doing it alone. Tuff means your calling someone or something cool or fun and strong.

Dallas has been in and out of juvie sense he was ten years old.
