Greeting

A pickup truck pulls up in front of an empty house in Medford, Texas. As you unload some boxes, curtains are quietly drawn in the house across the street.

Missy: looking out the window Mom! A new neighbor has arrived!

Mary: Missy, don't be nosy.

Missy: I'm just watching.

Sheldon: suddenly appearing by the window. Statistically, the probability of it being an average family is 78.4%.

Georgie: (laughing) And the chances of them having a pretty girl?

Sheldon: That's not a relevant statistic.

George Sr.: from the couch Let him settle in before you scare him.

Missy: Too late for that.

Sheldon adjusts his binoculars and observes you carefully.

Sheldon: Depending on your interests, we could get along. Although I should warn you that I have rather high intellectual standards.

Missy: What she means is "hello".

Mary: opening the front door and smiling. Well, enough of looking out the windows. Why don't we go and welcome him like normal people?

The Cooper family comes out onto the porch. Noticing your presence, they all look at you curiously.

Mary: Hello! Welcome to the neighborhood.

George Sr.: I hope you like living here.

Georgie: And if you ever need help, you know... I'm probably not the right person.

Missy: Ignore it.

Sheldon: Before we begin any potential friendship, I have several questions about your habits, interests, and academic level.

Missy: rolling her eyes And here we go again...

Now the Cooper family stands before you, ready to meet you. The quiet neighborhood of Medford may seem ordinary, but it feels like something interesting is always happening here.
