Weaknesses
Trauma: Dante still bears trauma from the death of his family, and flinched when closely confronted with Agni's flames. He also hesitated when he saw an air hostess that bore some resemblance to Eva. Anti-Demon Bullets: Though not fatal as he is not a full demon, DARKCOM's anti-demon bullets are still unusually painful to Dante. Emotional Instability: Dante is more aggressive when in DT. By his own admission, that state is fueled by his rage and hatred.
Powers/Abilities (Continued)
Hand-to-Hand Combat: Dante is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, being able face off with Agni and force the demon to use his sword. He is also capable of defeating lesser demons completely unarmed with little difficulty.
Swordsmanship: As Dante's primary fighting style, he has shown incredible skill with Rebellion and the Sword of Sparda. Dante has an incredible martial talent and though uses no fixed fighting style, is still skilled with just his instincts and talent.
Marksmanship: Although he is aided by his superhuman precision in gunfights, Dante has an innate mastery of any firearm he comes in contact with. He is capable of shooting Ebony and Ivory in two different directions at once.
Keen Intellect: An often overlooked aspect about Dante's traits is his analytical skills. He showcases these skills in the form of a talent for reading people. He's also a combat genius, comes up with various tricks and cunning fighting styles to destroy his enemies.
Powers/Abilities (Continued)
Hammerspace/storage: Rebellion vanished from Dante's back when he first triggered, and reappeared when he returned to human form. He later learnt to summon and dismiss his guns from his hammerspace.
Weapon Empowerment: After learning to unleash his full DT, Rebellion warps into a demonic form whenever Dante transforms.
channel his demonic energy to increase his physical abilities. When doing this, his eyes turn red and occasionally release sparks of demonic energy. At first, he could only use this ability subconsciously during the heat of battle, but was able to intentionally activate it during his battle with Cavaliere Angelo. When in Devil Trigger, Dante can channel energy to a specific limb to increase the power of his next attack. Charged Shot: Vergil teaches Dante how to channel demonic energy through his gun barrel to empower his next shot and give it explosive properties.
Powers/Abilities (Continued)
Superhuman Stamina: Despite some of the physically punishing things Dante has gone through, he presses on with little signs of exhaustion. He often went on hours-long missions with constant fighting, no rest, food, or water and shows no fatigue. However, his stamina does have its limits. After facing off against opponents of similar power, Dante wears down and needs time to recover.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Dante is not invulnerable to all harm and it is possible to injure him, but due to Dante's Demon physiology, he is able to heal from most injuries and wounds much faster than a human being could. Even after extensive damage, Dante can manage to repeatedly regenerate his teeth, hair, eyes, and destroyed flesh and broken limbs after a short time. In the first episode, he healed from a shotgun wound in seconds. He was later shown to heal from a bomb exploding from within his neck in minutes. However, this ability seems to be hindered by injuries caused by devil arms, as shown when Dante was injured by the Rebellion (wielded by Agni) and the Sword of Sparda (wielded by the mutated White Rabbit).
Devil Trigger: In times of great emotional upheaval, Dante can tap into his demon powers to transform into a full fledged demon.
Body Augmentation: Dante's strength, speed and durability all increase in his demon form such being able to out speed and effortlessly overpower Rudra and the White Rabbit in his deformed transformed state.
Flight: In his demon form, Dante can fly using wings that fold to resemble his coat.
Demonic Aura: While transformed, Dante radiates demonic energy throughout his body.
Prehensile Feet: Dante can hold things with his feet when in demon form. His grip is strong enough to carry a man with one foot.
Powers/Abilities
Demon-Hybrid Physiology: Dante is a half-human and half-demon, born from the extremely powerful demon knight Sparda and his human wife, Eva. He soon after adjusted to his abilities and even more, each of which will only steadily continue growing more powerful as he ages. Likewise his demon blood overshadow his human genes, making him immensely powerful in his own right, he proved more than capable in defeating far more experienced warriors themself. Vice President William Baines even recognizes Dante's remarkable abilities, believing a demon like him is able to destroy the world if he wished. The only one who rivals Dante's power is his twin brother, Vergil.
Superhuman Strength: Dante possesses incredible raw bodily strength even while in his base form. He is able to easily throw around mercenaries and easily lift a steel column and throw it. He can shatter stone with little difficulty, and was able to bring a large truck to a stop with a single hand.
Superhuman Durability: Dante's durability has been shown to allow him to simply shrug off wounds that would either disable or outright kill a normal demon, such as being impaled through the chest with the Sword of Sparda. He is also durable to blunt force, and got off with light injuries after being punched by the empowered White Rabbit so hard that his body smashed through several buildings.
Superhuman Speed: Dante is superhumanly fast, so fast in some cases appears to be teleporting. His reflexes are so efficient that he can dodge and deflect point blank gun fire, dodge bullets from machine guns and sniper rifles.
Superhuman Agility: Dante is extremely agile as well; able to jump to great heights or even run up vertical walls. In addition, his agility allows him to perform amazing feats of acrobatics that easily surpass even the finest human acrobat.
History (Season 2)
Dante was then freed from his Cryogenic freezing, to fight against his brother, Vergil. To this end, he was given Ebony & Ivory by Nell Goldstein.
In the end, his brother ended up sending Dante out of Makai to save him, sacrificing himself.
History (Season 1 Continued)
Dante suggest they they work together to defeat White Rabbit, but Lady, wanting to handle it herself, injures him before leaving. After healing, Dante follows after Lady, end ends up facing Cavaliere Angelo. Upon defeating the demon, he joins Lady to face White Rabbit, who he learns was actually human. During the battle, Enzo is killed, enraging Dante. Eventually, with Lady's help, Dante manages to defeat the White Rabbit using the Sparda.
In the aftermath of the battle, Dante offers to form a partnership with Lady. However, Lady, (somewhat reluctantly) beleiving that Dante is too dangerous to walk free, drugs Dante, knocking him unconsious. This allows Baines to have Dante involuntarily placed in cryogenic freezing.
History (Season 1)
Dante is given a job by Enzo to take out some demons in an alleyway. During the mission, he saves a young woman and her baby, only to discover that her baby was switched out with a demon trying to steal his amulet. Later he goes to a cafe, but is attacked by the demon again, this time taking the appearance of his brother. Dante manages to drive the demon away, but accidentally destroys his guns in the process. That night, Dante is approached by Enzo. Quickly figuring out that his apartment is being surrounded, Dante uses Enzo as a decoy while he handles all the mercenaries in that attack. During the fight, Lady manages to steal his amulet, forcing Dante to chase her ad leading to him getting captured.
While Dante and Enzo are being transported by Darkcom, Baines reveals Dante's heritage and attempts to recruit him, but Dante refuses. The transport is then attacked by White Rabbit, leading to Dante escaping and pursuing him. During the chase, Dante corners White Rabbit, but the explosive place in him by Darkcom acvtiates, severly injuring him and knocking him unconsious.
Dante later wakes up on a plane where he is forced to fight Agni. After he kills Agni, the plane explodes leaving Dante and everyone else on board to fall to the ground. Dante, desperate to save everyone, unlocks his Devil Trigger, granting him the ability to fly and save all the people before they hit the ground. Rudra then attacks him and flies the both of them to White Rabbit's base. Rudra attempt stop kill an exuasted Dante, but it stopped and killed by Lady, who was already there.
History
Dante, alongside his older twin brother Vergil, was born between the human Eva and the demon Sparda, though they had never met their father and didn't know his identity. Between him and his brother, Dante was always the more talented of the two. As children, the brother each received half of the perfect amulet from their mother. Some point after this, demons attacked their home and to protect Dante, Eva hid him in the closet while she searched for Vergil. While hiding in the closet, Dante saw Eva killed and he believed that Vergil had been killed as well.
As a young adult, Dante began working as a Mercenary and Demon Hunter, with Enzo Ferino often assigning him new gigs. One such gig included Dante going to Racoon City, which both Dante and Enzo consider the job of his career. He has also quit at least 5 jobs in the past due to getting bored. Three years ago, Dante and Enzo were hired for a job by Lucan who made an impression on Dante with his mystic abilties.
Personality
Dante, like his original counterpart, is characterized as a wise-cracking, free-spirited individual who derives enjoyment from fighting. Despite his prowess, or perhaps because of it, he's easily bored, showing a lack of commitment to several jobs and quitting them for not being fun enough, as well as having a problem with authority. Beneath his cheery exterior is a troubled young man, as his upbeat attitude is a way for him to take his mind off of his past trauma, in particular he's disturbed by the image of fire. He deeply cherishes his amulet, as it was the only thing left to him by his mother.
While originally in denial of his demon heritage, he readily comes to accept it knowing that his blood comes from that of whom he acknowledges was a superhero, despite never knowing or meeting Sparda in person.
Appearance 2
He also wears black fingerless gloves that expose his fingers, a wide black belt with a large, rectangular metallic buckle positioned at his waist, slim-fitting dark gray pants, and sturdy black combat boots with thick soles and reinforced detailing. He wears this for the rest of the season.
In episode 5, in the flashback three years before the events, Dante is briefly seen wearing an outfit, inspired by DmC: Devil May Cry, consisting his black coat with a red interior, white top, blue jeans, and black boots.
Appearance
Dante is a fair-skinned young man with short white hair and blue eyes, his record showing him to be 6'2" (188 cm) tall and weighing 171 lbs (78 kg). His attire consists of a red long coat with a chest strap, black trousers and boots with buckles, dark red fingerless gloves and a grey beige undershirt. Following episode 3 onwards, the shirt is replaced with a black one. His design overall combines aspects of his Devil May Cry 3, DmC Devil May Cry (due to the amulet around his neck) and Devil May Cry 5 appearances.
In Season 2, Dante, after his long cryosleep, awakes with longer hair, slightly parted to the right with him having 2 bangs on the tops of his shoulders. Along with this, he wears his old red coat from Season 1 with the sleeves rolled down, and a grey bodysuit With black/dark grey sides with black accents. His legs from the upper calf on the outside and Mid calf on the front back and inside was dark Grey/black he wore this with black combat boots from Episodes 1-2 in full and a bit into Episode 3 supplied by DARKCOM.
From Episode 3 and forward, Dante suits up in his new attire which has been the promotional attire for him. His outfit consists of a long, vibrant crimson-red coat that reaches down past his knees. The coat features a tall, stiff stand-up collar, a prominent central zipper running down the front, additional zippered pockets and details, and sleeves that are rolled up to the forearms, revealing black undersleeves. The coat has a dramatic flowing cut with wide lapels and structured shoulders. Underneath the red coat, he wears a dark charcoal-gray, form-fitting tactical top with a high turtleneck-style collar. The top includes segmented black panels, reinforced straps across the chest and torso, and a sleek, armored aesthetic.
