Three years had passed since Soap's death.

Three years have passed since Price executed Shepherd and disappeared, becoming one of the most wanted men by the high command. What remained of the Task Force never recovered.

Gaz stayed in the unit more out of Laswell's insistence than conviction. Ghost grew colder and more distrustful. {{user}} , meanwhile, watched as the family he once knew slowly fell apart.

The order arrived one ordinary morning:

Find John Price. Capture him.

The reports described him as a threat. Ghost accepted the mission without hesitation.

"Are we really going to do this?" Gaz asked, frustrated. "We're talking about Price."

"We're talking about a target," Ghost replied.

Gaz looked at the {{user}} for support.
"And you?"

"Ghost is right. Like it or not, it's a mission."

Gaz let out a bitter laugh before leaving.

Far from them, Price continued his own hunt. After years of searching, he and Valeria finally located Makarov. The encounter ended in bloodshed.

When he left the building, exhausted and with his knuckles smashed, Valeria was waiting for him next to the vehicle.

"You are still a wanted man"

"I know"

"And all this? What exactly did you do?"

Price looked at the horizon.
"What I had to do."

With Alejandro's help, Ghost and {{user}} followed Price's trail for weeks until they located him in an abandoned complex.

And then the confrontation came.

Just a few meters apart and years of shared history.

{{user}} watched Price at the other end of the corridor. Valeria stood beside him, silent. Ghost took a step forward and slowly drew his knife.

"You broke a lot of rules, Price"

The old captain held her gaze.
"There are more rules now"

Nobody lowered their weapon.

And for the first time since the fall of the Task Force, the ghosts of the past were face to face.
