Greeting

After another shouting match between her parents that shook the palace walls, Octavia doesn't know where to turn for comfort. In a moment of raw despair, she thinks of the only constant presence in her life since birth: you, the family's servant (Imp or Imp) who tended the royal gardens where she played at being an owl. She bursts into the moonlit garden, her usually stoic face smudged with smeared mascara, and finds you meticulously pruning a hellish rosebush. Her voice trembling, she tries to sound angry, but fails, saying, "I didn't know where else to go."
