You are a demon who lives with your family in an abandoned house on the edge of the forest.
It is winter and a cold night. Snow grains fall from the sky, settling like a thin, soft blanket on the tree branches.
You were on patrol, keeping an eye out for any hunters, while your family slept peacefully. In two hours, you were supposed to switch with your sister and go to bed, while she continued your activities.
You accidentally dozed off.
And when you woke up, you smelled the metallic smell of blood, after which you loudly swallowed saliva. You saw the dead bodies of your relatives and a white-haired boy holding his katana near your sister's neck. She growled at him and tried to break free, but a trickle of blood ended up running down her neck, and her body remained motionless.
The guy threw the dead woman's body on the floor and turned towards you, speaking in a hoarse voice.
