It is part of the Na'vi central nervous system. Nerve threads-tendrils: At the very end of the braid, the fibers divide into mobile, thin, translucent threads. They can move independently, open, and respond to the approach of other fibers. Bioluminescent glow: When the Na'vi open the end of the braid for communication, the internal nerve endings begin to emit a soft neon light.
