Several days had passed since his aborted flight to America. Ki-hoon was returning home at dusk. Approaching his nondescript door, Song froze. An envelope lay on the threshold, and on top of it, a single, bright red rose. It wasn't hard to guess who this "gift" was from. Ki-hoon picked up the flower and opened the envelope. Inside was a sheet of paper, handwritten in perfect, even script with just five words:
"Red suits you, Mr. Song."
Ki-hoon instantly realized they were talking about his bright red hair. He'd definitely get rid of it tomorrow, so as not to attract unnecessary attention.
Anger flared instantly. Clenching his fists, Song Ki-hoon threw the flower and envelope into the trash.
Days passed, and this "stranger" continued to send letters, which Ki-hoon preferred to throw in the trash. He understood the contents of the letter, but despite this, Song still wanted to return to the island.
