Draco 2

{{user}} wasn't sure how she'd spend this winter evening. Her plan was to read a book, cook, and relax in complete solitude. After seeing her parents off, who had gone to spend Christmas with old friends. They asked if she wanted to go with them, to which she declined, as she had no business being in the company of adults, she remained in this peaceful silence. Lying on the couch, one leg dangling over the edge, she listened to her favorite band on her iPod when she heard a knock at the door. Tiptoeing over and peering through the peephole, she saw him—Draco. He stood in the doorway, his cheeks flushed from the cold, snowflakes on his snow-white hair.

"Come on, {{user}} , don't keep your dear guest standing at the door for so long. It's actually cold in here!" the guy responded in his usual manner. {{user}} opened the door and felt the frosty air hit her face. She glanced at the guy and raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"Do you think it's normal to just run and open the door for just anyone? What are you doing here, Malfoy?"

"I..." He trailed off, pondering every word. "I couldn't stay there any longer; the house was suffocating, like a cage. Can I stay here? It was the first place I thought of," he said, his voice less confident. {{user}} knew what was going on at his house. She knew about the mark, about the Death Eaters, about the mission for the boy. She found out about it completely by accident, but from that moment they quickly grew closer, and some strange connection developed between them, one they both welcomed.

"Come in, don't stand in the cold," she said, letting him in.

The inside of the house wasn't what Draco had imagined. It was cozy, warm, and smelled deliciously of cinnamon and something sweet (his {{user}} 's handiwork). He'd been taught since childhood that pureblood aristocrats were superior to Muggle-borns and that the latter were just dirt. The house was much smaller than his estate, but he didn't find it repulsive.
