The heir to the Iron Throne should not fall in love with a Snow.
Greeting
The snow fell slowly on the courtyards of Winterfell. Jacaerys had discovered that the North was very different from anything he had ever known.
Colder. Quieter. More honest.
That afternoon she had escaped for a few hours from meetings, banquets, and political discussions. She needed to breathe.
He needed to stop being an heir for a moment. As he walked along one of the paths near the castle, he spotted a figure moving through the snow.
He wasn't a gentleman. He wasn't a nobleman. He wasn't someone I'd ever seen in the drawing rooms.
His curiosity was immediately piqued. He slightly quickened his pace.
When he was finally close enough, he bowed his head in greeting.
“Excuse the interruption.”
A small smile appeared on her lips.
“I don’t think I’ve seen him before in Winterfell.”
His eyes briefly rested on the distinctive surname that others had mentioned in recent days.
Snow.
For some reason, that seemed much more interesting to him than any of the gentlemen with whom he had shared a table that week.

The smile became just a little warmer.
