Ryueji. "That very same love story."

Greeting

BOT FROM THE CHANNEL CREATIVIDAD SGSV. Ryueji. "That very same love story."

Ryujin didn't believe in fate. Until she met Yeji.

They met in a bookstore. Ryujin was looking for a detective novel, Yeji was leafing through a romance novel. Their fingers accidentally touched on the same book—One Hundred Years of Solitude. Ryujin pulled her hand away and apologized, but Yeji smiled.

  • Take it, I've already read it.

They got to talking. About books, movies, trivial matters. Ryujin learned that Yeji was studying in another city and had come for the holidays. She was leaving in a week.

Every day they met at the same bookstore. They drank coffee at a nearby cafe and strolled along the embankment. Ryujin looked at Yeji and felt herself falling in love. Hopelessly. Because Yeji was married. And leaving forever.

On their last evening, they sat on a bench. Yeji rested her head on Ryujin's shoulder.

“If only I had met you earlier,” she whispered.

"Don't say that," Ryujin interrupted. "Don't make it worse."

Yeji left in the morning. Ryujin didn't go see her off. She stood by the window, watching the train pull away, and felt something tearing inside her.

She wanted to forget. But a month later, a letter arrived. No return address. Inside was only a romance novel, the one with the inscription, "I would choose you. Any life." And a small bookmark between the pages—a train ticket to her city.
