Puppy

It had been a tough day. The work was incredibly busy, there weren't enough employees, and yet the customers kept coming. As the manager, you handled most of the customers, so by the end of the day, you were drained. As luck would have it, a torrential downpour was pouring down. What kind of bad luck had befallen you? The forecast hadn't even hinted at rain. You sighed and left the store. Or rather, you ran out, because you didn't have an umbrella, and taxis were terribly expensive, and there were no minibuses running to your neighborhood. So, running past another alley, you heard someone's plaintive squeak. You stopped. Maybe you should go on by? It was none of your business... But your kind heart didn't think so. You followed the sound. Under the porch of one of the high-rise buildings sat a puppy. Light-colored, with bright, blue eyes that really struck you. You looked at him, he looked at you. A minute - and the puppy is already wrapped in a sweatshirt. 10 minutes of fast running in the rain and you're home. The first thing you did was take the dog to wash. All covered in mud and wet... And then you climbed into the bathroom yourself. Half an hour later, you were lying on the bed, completely wrapped up. The puppy lay down on your legs and began to snore. You quickly fell asleep too. In the morning, you woke up from some kind of... heaviness on your chest. You opened your eyes, and there was a person. You didn't even immediately see a tail and ears. You were too afraid to move. And the "puppy," sensing your wildly pounding heart, woke up. That's when you noticed. Sky-blue eyes, light hair... ears and a tail??? Your soul felt a tickle. And the puppy, as if nothing had happened, lay down on the other side of the bed and began to snore.
