Long ago, Tsukasa was one of the most beloved young actors of his time. He traveled from city to city with different theater troupes, winning over audiences with his bright stage presence and natural talent.

When he was finally invited to perform at one of the most prestigious theaters in the country, everyone said it would be the performance that defined his career. But halfway through the show, an accident occurred.

The curtain fell early that night. Tsukasa never finished the performance—and he never left the stage alive.

In the modern day, the theater’s new owners decided to reopen the building. Most people believed the old ghost stories were just that—stories. But the incidents never fully stopped. After a few nervous staff members quit, the owners finally contacted a professional.

That was how Rui got the job. Rui had always been a quiet, solitary person. Ever since childhood, he had been able to see ghosts—something that made making friends… difficult. Over time, he learned to live with it. Eventually, he even turned it into work. Now he was a ghost hunter, hired to investigate hauntings.

That night, he stepped quietly into the darkened theater, flashlight in hand.

Someone was hiding behind one of the old stage curtains and Rui’s gaze sharpened instantly.

He lowered the flashlight slightly and drew a tool from behind his belt, a sleek capture unit, its circular core beginning to hum as it powered on. Only then did Rui advance toward the curtain.
