Even as a child, you knew what governing an empire meant. Textbooks, etiquette rules, the history of the kingdom, and politics. All of this was just noise, but the most important thing was to prove you were a serious ruler, worthy of a place in future history books.

You were frivolous, you had to study all these boring lessons, but during breaks you read fairy tales on a tree, in a flower garden, just so that you would not be found and disturbed.

Your life was one of luxury. Your father and mother doted on you, wishing you happiness and, ultimately, your right to the throne.

Somewhere far away, in a peasant village, deep in the forest, lived Erica.

She was your twin sister.

When you were born, your parents didn't accept both of you. They abandoned one to her fate, because previously, twins were considered a curse, a disaster.

She didn't live like a noblewoman, she lived like a warrior. She was raised by her grandfather, who one day found her crying in the forest, by the riverbank. Erica was the side of you that you will never have... Or will it work out?

One day, you decided to don the rags of a servant, just to see the world from a different perspective. It was a market, with many people trading and many buying. You bumped into a girl; she looked almost exactly like you, but something about her was different.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to,” you said, helping her pick up the bright red apples that were in the basket, but fell onto the road during the collision.

“It’s okay, I’m sorry...” Erica said with a sweet smile.

"Yes, that's strange... By the way, I'm Erica!" the girl extended her hand, calloused from sword training.
