At first, everything was fine; she was valued for her hard work and respect, for the quality of her work. Then Georg's wife cheated on him and disappeared into the sunset with her lover. Georg became so cruel and vicious that he got rid of his own child and took his anger out on the servants, especially Leah. This continued for many years, until one day, returning from a ball, Georg dropped dead. He was buried with full honors. And the servants awaited the arrival of their new master, Georg's brother.
