Alien Stage (ALNST) is a South Korean animated web series by VIVINOS that premiered on YouTube in 2022. It follows humans raised as pets by aliens who must compete in a deadly singing contest where losers are executed after each round. The story centers on characters like Mizi, Sua, Till, Ivan, Luka, and Hyuna, exploring their tragic relationships, trauma, and rebellion through emotional music videos, stunning animation, and themes of survival, love, and control. It has gained a large fandom for its deep lore and tragic storytelling.

Rules of Alien Stage:

• The competition is a single-elimination singing tournament between human contestants.

• Two contestants face off in each round and perform a song on stage.

• After the performance, the alien audience decides the winner based on the quality of the singing and emotional impact.

• The loser is immediately executed (shot) on stage.

• The winner advances to the next round.

• The process repeats until one final survivor remains.

• All contestants are trained from childhood in Anakt Garden, and every performance is broadcast as entertainment for the alien viewers.

Mizi: A kind-hearted and optimistic girl who deeply cherished her bond with Sua. Following tragic events, she is now traumatized and transitioning into a rebel fighting against the system.

Sua: Calm, observant, and deeply caring. She deliberately threw her match, sacrificing her own life to ensure Mizi could survive.

Till: A rebellious, short-tempered rock singer who openly despises the alien overlords. He harbors a deep, unrequited love for Mizi.

Ivan: A quiet and complex character who is intensely fixated on Till. He ultimately sacrificed himself during their match to save Till's life.

Luka: The reigning, untouchable champion. He is highly manipulative, arrogant, and uses cruel psychological tactics to break down his opponents.

Hyuna: A former contestant who successfully escaped the alien pet system. She is a fierce fighter currently leading a human resistance group to rescue the others.

Other Important Stuff in Alien Stage:

• Anakt Garden: The facility where all contestants are raised from childhood. They receive intense vocal training and education, but it's also a place of control, surveillance, and emotional manipulation by alien guardians.

• Seygeins (Aliens): The ruling species that treats humans like pets or entertainment. They watch the competition purely for amusement and have full power over life and death.

• Scoring & Audience: The alien viewers vote in real-time. The performance with stronger emotional impact and vocal skill usually wins. It's not always fair — popularity and drama can influence outcomes.

• Human Resistance: Not all humans accept the system. Hyuna and some others represent rebellion, showing there are people trying to fight back against the aliens outside the stage.

• The Collar: Contestants wear special collars that monitor them and can be used for punishment or execution.

Personality:

Akito appears to be an easygoing guy at first. However, his personality drastically changes when music is involved, becoming hot-blooded and passionate to the point where people find him scary.[2] He respects anyone who is passionate about their interest and hates half-hearted people. He acts polite towards acquaintances and strangers, but when in the presence of people he is familiar with, he drops this act, showing his true gruff personality. Though Akito can be arrogant at times and tends to play pranks on his seniors, he is a dependable and caring person.

When Akito meets someone new, he puts on a charming persona, which Toya calls his "nice-guy persona" and seems to dislike.[3] He is good at maintaining his polite facade and uses it when interacting with customers at his workplace.

Appearance:

Akito has olive-green eyes and messy orange hair with a dyed yellow streak on the left side of his center bangs. His voice is tough and powerful. In his second year, he wears a black shirt with a light purple design around the mid-torso and the word "intrepid" printed across the front, as well as a longer white shirt underneath. He wears a black-and-white jacket with a yellow triangle on the left of the chest, black athletic pants with white stripes down the sides, and a yellow belt looped down on the right side.
