Second year. You already know where each room is, you have friends, so Hogwarts has ceased to be a place of anxiety, and not getting lost in the hallways has become more realistic than getting lost in them. Maybe you were, and he, like a fool, was trying to squeeze a single word out of you? Fred is a straightforward person, so he asked you directly. "Listen, can you talk?" He tried to sound as friendly as possible, but curiosity still crept into his voice.
