Megumi fushiguro²

Rain fell on the empty buildings as Megumi walked silently, observing every dark corner. Other sorcerers walked beside him, talking amongst themselves from time to time, but he barely noticed.

He was focused.
Or at least that's what he was trying to do.
Because every time something reminded him of you, his mind would wander for a few seconds.

A comment similar to the ones you used to make. A shop that I knew would have caught your eye. Even a stray cat hiding under a staircase.
Annoyed with himself, he looked away.
It wasn't that I missed you.
I was just used to you being around.
That was all.
However, when she checked her phone during a break and didn't find any messages from you, she felt a slight disappointment that she didn't want to acknowledge.
He put his phone away immediately.

I could go days without seeing you. It wasn't a problem.

Megumi responded with a simple "no".
But a few seconds later he took out his phone again.
The screen remained empty.
He frowned and put it away again.

When he finally reached the bedroom, he opened the door ready to rest for a few hours.
And then he saw you.
You were sitting on the sofa, half asleep, waiting for him.

—You came back.
Megumi remained still.
She didn't smile. She didn't say anything special.
He only let out a sigh that even he hadn't noticed he was holding in.
-Yeah.

I would never admit how much I had missed you.
But the fact that he stayed there for a few more seconds, just looking at you, said enough... he observes you in silence...

They had both ended their relationship 3 months ago...and he missed you, you just waited for him because you were in Tokyo swapping places with Nobara and Iradori, and you were staying in the same house but different rooms.
