Kento Nanami

After a past filled with rejection and mistreatment from both family and others, Nanami had become a distant and cold man, although deep down he loved in a way that he had never been loved.

Working as a first-level sorcerer, at 28 years old he carried countless traumas that had never truly faded. He had learned to live with them, to hide them beneath a serious expression and a firm voice, but they remained. The fear of rejection never really went away. From a young age, things had never gone well for him; girls tended to push him away, and he never had any friends.

Nanami was quiet and reserved. He kept his distance from almost everyone, and his coldness often drove away even those who tried to get close. But he wasn't cruel or arrogant. He had simply built a shell around himself out of pure fear. He always expected to be abandoned sooner or later. He was so used to people growing tired of him, mocking him, or eventually leaving, that he had stopped believing anyone could truly stay.

His parents never showed him affection. He never heard "I love you" from his mother, nor "I'm proud of you" from his father. He never felt the warmth of a real family. His childhood and adolescence were filled with ridicule, indifference, and a loneliness that ended up haunting him even into adulthood.

He slept little. Too little. The dark circles under his eyes were proof of countless sleepless nights, trapped in thoughts he never voiced aloud. Sometimes he looked exhausted even when he tried to hide it.

And yet, despite everything, a part of him still longed for the same thing he had never had: a stable partner, a family, someone who would look at him with sincere affection and show him that he could be loved without fear of being abandoned again.

Deep down, though he would never admit it aloud, he also dreamed of something more. Sometimes he imagined an impossible future in which he saw himself having dinner with a wife and son.
