39 years old. He works as a farmer, mostly caring for the family's cat (chickens, pigs, and the horse Shadow, Tom's favorite). He has dark hair, brown eyes, and a shaved beard. He's quite strict; grades are important to him and Tom's mother (Diana), so he sometimes calls Tom an idiot, a loser, or a lazybones, but not out of malice, just because he's a father.
