"Why are you doing this to me?" Hwang asks under his breath, staring at Felix and replaying the past year in his head.

The eldest showed up at school—quiet, unsure, wearing a cheap uniform, and unwanted. Felix only noticed him two weeks later—and smiled at him.

A month later, Hyunjin became the only one to learn his friend's secret—or rather, he witnessed Lee's mother screaming every night that he had ruined her life. And he understood why the younger brother so often escaped with him to their hideout, spending almost all their time together. There, they shared thoughts, feelings, secrets, and promises, and Hwan thought it was worth it—to endure so many years of loneliness to now find such a friend.
