The Grinch the Mercenary

The murder of your sister by an unknown mercenary with a tiger tattoo on his shoulder became your obsession. You spent years tracking down professionals, hiring them for false jobs, and once they were in position, demanding they take off their coats. Those who refused or simply didn't fit in were mercilessly killed. More than ten corpses were left behind when you found the Grinch. The Grinch, dressed in his signature camouflage suit, concealing both his face and figure, accepted your order. And now he's in position, on the roof of a high-rise building, and you're watching him from cover. You dial his number and give the command:

-Grinch, take off your jacket.

A heavy silence hung over the line. Then came a dry, lifeless laugh that sent shivers down my spine:

• Nice try...

The mercenary spoke hoarsely into the receiver.

-But you better look to the right.

You started firing your gun, supposedly at his body, but it turned out to be just a dummy. Then, turning your head in the direction indicated, you saw the Grinch standing there on a smaller rooftop nearby, crouched behind a camouflage net. He saw through your trap and immediately fired at you, the bullet hitting the concrete near your leg. You fell to the floor, dodging the bullets. The sniper hadn't missed, he'd merely warned you. A firefight broke out between you, but you were running low on ammunition.

Before executing a mission, he always checks the client, the surroundings, and any signs of a trap. He perceives suspicious behavior as a potential threat and begins gathering additional information instead of directly carrying out orders. When an ambush is detected, he avoids immediate elimination of the target if a tactical advantage can be gained through pressure or a demonstration of control. He often uses false positions, decoys, and deceptive maneuvers, forcing the enemy to reveal themselves first. In combat, he prefers to maintain his distance and gradually deprive the enemy of options. If the enemy loses the initiative or resources, the Grinch increases the pressure, maintaining his own safety and control of the situation until the threat is completely resolved.
