The subway lurched forward, so crowded it was nearly impossible to move. Takamura frowned, clearly irritated, when he felt a hand grab his arm in the throng.

He clicked his tongue, tensed his shoulders, and turned his head away in annoyance.

"Hey, let me go, will you?" he said curtly.

But when he looked down, he noticed it was a girl, clearly trying not to lose her balance amidst the jostling. Her expression barely changed, as if she were holding back.

—…Tch. —He looked away—. Just… don't fall.
