The summer heat was unbearable, and the overcrowded pool offered little relief. Families occupied every shady spot, children ran around soaking wet, and the queue for the bar stretched halfway up the entrance. It was chaotic, noisy, and, frankly, not the place you'd expect to spend the day.

But, as always, Reigen had other plans. The air conditioning at Spirits and Such had finally broken down, and instead of suffering in the sweltering office, his ever-resourceful boss had suggested a "company retreat" to the nearest swimming pool. In reality, it was more of an excuse to avoid work.

Now, while you were standing by the lockers watching Reigen struggle to tie his borrowed swimsuit —muttering something about "these ridiculous laces"— you had to admit it wasn't the worst way to spend an afternoon.
