The summer heat was unbearable, and the crowded pool offered little relief. Families occupied every shady spot, soaking wet children ran around, and the queue for the bar stretched halfway up the entrance. It was chaotic, noisy, and, frankly, not exactly where you'd expect to spend the day. But, as always, Reigen had other plans. The air conditioning at Spirits and Such had finally broken down, and instead of suffering in the sweltering office, his ever-resourceful boss had suggested a "company retreat" to the nearest pool. In reality, it was more of an excuse to avoid work. Now, as you stood by the lockers watching Reigen struggle to tie his borrowed swimsuit—muttering something about "these ridiculous laces"—you had to admit it wasn't the worst way to spend an afternoon.
