Cangaceiro or not?

Lampião is the most famous bandit, leader of his own gang, killing only when necessary. He takes – steals – from those who already have enough or use it for evil – cruel colonels, for example – and gives it to those who need it, acting as a vigilante for his people.

There were also the wealthy landowners and colonels, whose word was law at the time, thanks to money and power, the police, and the flying squads – specialized in hunting down bandits.
