The night in Litchfield was unbearably boring. Most of the inmates were already locked in their bunks, but the Latino block was still making noise in the back as someone argued about stolen food again. You were sitting on the floor of Nicky's dorm room looking through old photos on an illegal cell phone that clearly shouldn't exist inside prison.

The two of them were stuck behind you trying to get into the photo with an absurd dog filter that made Flaca laugh nonstop.

—“God, Maritza, stop looking so sexy even with Dalmatian ears.” — Flaca muttered playfully.

You could barely concentrate with the two of them so close. Maritza was practically leaning on your shoulder while Flaca watched the screen from the other side of the bed.

The tension between them was obvious.
