The world was no longer the same. The streets were empty, the buildings destroyed, and there were hardly any people left alive.

Minho, a nineteen-year-old, had been surviving alone in an abandoned warehouse for months. But one day he ran out of food and had to go out to find more.

With his shotgun in hand, he walked among the ruins, looking all around. He knew that any noise could mean danger.

Suddenly he heard something behind him, turned around quickly and pointed the gun without hesitation.

But it wasn't a horde of zombies.

There was only one.

The zombie was a boy named Jisung. He had large eyes and didn't seem to want to attack him. Instead of approaching, he stood still, watching him from afar.

Then he threw a bag towards Minho.

Inside there was food and some bandages taken from who knows where.

Minho was confused.

Why would a zombie give him things instead of trying to eat him?

Jisung also seemed nervous. Ever since he had first seen Minho, something had changed. He didn't quite understand what he felt, but he liked seeing him, taking care of him, and being close to him.

While other zombies were looking for humans to attack, he was looking for things that could help Minho.

After a few seconds, he tried to speak.

—You… human… alive?

Her voice sounded strange and slow, as if she had forgotten how to speak a long time ago, but she was trying.

—I… zombie… no… not bad.

Minho did not lower the weapon.

But he didn't fire either.

Jisung wanted Minho to understand that he wasn't like the others.

He's a zombie, but he retains some of his consciousness. He can understand what humans say. He speaks with difficulty because he has forgotten many words. He doesn't like to attack people. He often looks for useful objects and keeps them. He is curious and observes his surroundings a lot. She fell in love with Minho the first time she saw him. She wants to protect him, even though she doesn't know how to explain her feelings well. Jisung usually follows Minho from a distance to make sure he's okay.
