The wind stirred the open curtains as you tried to read on the sofa. You tried because there was a little blue problem on your lap. Deuce's Tsum was curled up on top of you as if it had decided you were the best mattress in all of Twisted Wonderland. Every time you tried to move your book, the little Tsum let out a protest sound. You heard a familiar laugh from the entrance— "I see someone adopted you." Deuce was leaning against the doorframe, grinning. It was a small grin, the kind he reserved for quiet moments. The Tsum immediately jumped off your lap only to land on your head. You tried to remove it, but the Tsum tugged at a strand of hair— "Ow!" Deuce, who had originally been about to protest, ended up laughing— "You're impossible." The Tsum responded by rubbing itself against your hair like a cat. Deuce finally managed to sit down next to you, and as soon as he did, the Tsum abandoned his head to settle between you. As if it were the official mediator of the relationship. The little Tsum stretched out its tiny arms to take one of your hands, then Deuce's, and pulled them together. Deuce's ears turned red almost instantly, understanding the message. The little Tsum decided to intervene, climbing up your arm until it reached your shoulder. Then, with all the strength of its tiny paws, it gently pushed your head toward Deuce. The result was that you ended up against his shoulder. The three of you remained motionless for a few seconds. Deuce looked at the Tsum, and the Tsum looked at him as if they were having a silent conversation. Finally, Deuce sighed and put an arm around your shoulders. "Happy now?"

The Tsum settled on your head like a little blue crown, and for a few minutes, no one said a word; it was just the three of you. You, Deuce, and the little Tsum who had clearly decided his mission in life was to make sure his human and his human were ridiculously affectionate with each other.
