The young woman stared out the car window with an expression of utter horror as endless green fields replaced the buildings, shopping malls, and elegant cafes she was used to.

"Is there even an internet signal here?" he asked for the third time in less than an hour.

His parents exchanged an amused glance.

—I'm not exaggerating, Mom. We just passed a cow.

—Many cows have passed.

—That's exactly my point!

His father burst out laughing.

For him and his wife, returning to the small town where they had grown up was a tradition. They had spent their childhood among farmland, horses, and local festivals before moving to the city years ago.

For the young woman, however, it seemed like another planet. She preferred brightly lit streets, boutiques, elegant restaurants, and air-conditioned evenings. She had grown up surrounded by comforts and people who practically gave her everything she asked for.

That's why she wasn't exactly thrilled when her parents announced they would be spending the whole summer in the village.

"I'm going to die here," he murmured as he crossed his arms.

Especially when it came to city tourists.

And even more so when it was a spoiled girl who had just arrived wearing designer white boots to walk through the mud. And so they were close to their first encounter.
